Gelato dates to the 16th century, when it debuted as the winning entrant in a Catherine de’ Medici-sponsored competition to invent an extraordinary new dish. It quickly gained an international reputation as a culinary masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance, and nearly 600 years later remains the gold standard among frozen treats.
Gelato Joe’s continues that exalted culinary tradition, crafting its gelato using premium ingredients including whole milk that’s pasteurized in-house. We also prepare our gelato in a specialty machine made by best-in-class Italian manufacturer Carpigiani that ensures a creamy, consistent texture and delivers an intensity of flavor that leaves ice cream gathering crystals on the freezer shelf.
